Product Detail

Wood tar (also known as wood distillate/creosote) is a high temperature resistant material with a high temperature resistance of up to 280oC. It is waterproof and is an excellent anticorrosive and high temperature resistant material for the paint industry in shipbuilding industry.  Chemical and pharmaceutical raw materials and plant nutrition regulating auxin have growth effect on plants and have excellent insecticidal effect.

 

Wood tar: it is the product (e.g. Swedish tar or pine tar) discharged when wood (coniferous wood or other wood) is carbonized in a charcoal kiln or the product (distilled tar) obtained by distillation in a retort or distillation furnace.  Distilled tar can be directly precipitated from tar wood water (precipitated tar), or can be obtained by distilling tar wood water (tar has been partially dissolved) (dissolved tar)

All these tars are complex mixtures of hydrocarbons, phenols and their homologs, sugar aldehydes, acetic acid and other various products

    

 

Tar made from fat-filled wood is different from tar made from non-fat-filled wood which contains resin distillation products (terpenes, rosin oil, etc.), and it is a viscous product with colors ranging from brown to dark brown.  These products obtained by simple dehydration or partial distillation are mainly used to impregnate marine cables, as plasticizers in the rubber industry, for caulking adhesives and for pharmaceuticals.

 

 

Tar made from non-fat-filled wood is a brown-black thick liquid, and various by-products (wood miscellaneous acid oil, guaiacol, etc.) can be prepared after distillation or other methods of treatment.

 

Juniper oil, also known as pine tar, is used in pharmacy and soap making, and is also included in this tax code.

 

(2) Refined wood tar is obtained by distilling wood tar.  The light oil (containing aliphatic hydrocarbons, terpenes and higher ketones) is used for sheep bath water and gardening spray, while the heavy oil (containing aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons, higher ketones and higher phenols) is used for impregnating wood and extracting creosote.

 

The creosote obtained after extraction of creosote can be used for mineral flotation, pesticide preparation, solvent and fuel etc. according to its characteristics.

 

(3) Creosote is the main component of wood tar. Tar made from non-fat filled wood is usually distilled, treated with sodium hydroxide, reacidified and redistilled to separate it from other components.  Creosote is colorless liquid, but it takes on color under the action of air and light, has smoke flavor and corrosiveness, and is mainly used as disinfectant and preservative.  However, it must not be confused with creosote or mineral creosote.

 

 

Second, the coarse wood essence is obtained by treating the burnt wood water.  It is a light yellow liquid with a scorching smell and usually contains 70-90% methanol, acetone and other ketones in different proportions (usually 8-20%), and other impurities (methyl acetate, higher alcohols, tar-like substances, etc.).  Some crude lignans are used as ethanol denaturants.

 

This product is distilled, purified and refined to produce creosote and creosote, which can be directly used as pharmaceutical intermediates.
